Frequently Asked Questions
I’ve been to Physical Therapy before, what’s different with you?
First of all, I’m sorry to hear you’ve had to go to multiple therapists to resolve your issues. The biggest difference with my practice is the use of alternative manual therapy techniques. This hands-on practice allows me to find the root issue your body is experiencing, and ultimately get you back to healthy mobility in fewer visits.
Success for my patients is something we define together. My goal is to guide every patient to healthy mobility that suits their lifestyle, and to accomplish this in as few visits as possible.
What should I expect from a visit?
Our bodies are changing all the time. While undergoing manual therapy the body changes more rapidly — we call these changes healing! Because my treatment is working to change your body, the therapy techniques will change from visit to visit.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to book an appointment with me.
Insurance and reimbursement?
Although I do not bill insurance, I provide a detailed receipt in order for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Brennan has been my PT for many years now and I could not be happier. His experience and care for my well-being is never questioned. I have referred him to my track and field, and soccer student athletes as well as customers at my training facility. My trust is well-placed in Brennan.
Carl G. Wisconsin Academy of Sports My body is my mode of transportation whether on foot, skis, or bike. In order to keep my engine running smoothly, I seek out Brennan Hussey for fine-tuning. His unique manual therapy seems to bring my body back in alignment. I appreciate his thoughtfulness, skill and genuine interest in my health.

Why are you out of network?
This is a complex and layered question, but in short, I don’t work with insurance companies because I don’t want them dictating how best to treat you. Insurance companies have narrow parameters of what is covered and what is not. These parameters neglect quality of care.
What is the Cost?Cost differs based on several parameters. If you have concerns about cost and/or affordability, please contact me. My goal is to provide quality and accessible treatment.
How does payment work?Payment is with cash, check or credit card (including HSA/FSA) at the end of a session.
Despite the original prognosis (in high school) of “losing a step and some physical ability” – Brennan brought me back to an improved level of play. Without a proper rehab plan and execution, my knee would have stopped me from being a state competitor in multiple track & field events and from being a (still standing) school record holder. Now, I find great pleasure in exercise, coaching and running 5 days a week.

Brennan has taken care of my body since 1994. My first appointment, at age 14, found me afraid and toting a bag of braces, various pills, and multiple diagnoses. I left his office that day with hope, understanding, and less pain. After treatment, I regained use of my arms without surgery, pills or braces. Through my appointments, I became curious about 'use' patterns and pursued a PhD on a variation of the topic. Over the years, I've sent dozens of people to Brennan including my parents because he is a true healer. He is an outstanding practitioner who also understands that he cannot fix everything; he will tell you point blank who else you may need to see. This level of candor is appreciated and saves time and money. Simply, Brennan Hussey is the reason I was able to have a career as a musician. He is a miracle worker with a huge heart and a lot of knowledge. Paula Brusky, PhD |
